In 2011, the UNC Charlotte Student Government Association passed a resolution to maintain Jerry Richardson football stadium as a zero-waste facility - committing to diverting as much waste from the landfill as possible. As a Zero Waste volunteer, you will work with university staff to sort trash items the day after the game into compost, recycling, and trash. Volunteers will be given a free Zero-Waste t-shirt, gloves, and refreshments and should plan to wear weather-appropriate clothes that can get dirty, closed-toed shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle. 

We welcome individual volunteers or groups, this is a wonderful team-building opportunity that allows volunteers to get their hands dirty for good! If you are volunteering with a group, please ensure that all members of the group register individually.
