Abstract:
All human resources departments face increasing pressure to design training programs that enhance employee job performance. Although training is widely assumed to improve workplace outcomes, many organizations lack clear mechanisms for evaluating whether training efforts translate into sustained performance gains.
This study examines the relationship between training effectiveness and employee job performance, with particular attention to the moderating effects of personality traits, motivation to learn, and perceived support. The framework proposes that training effectiveness is determined not solely by program quality but also by individual learner differences and contextual factors that shape training transfer.
Using PLS-SEM, this study demonstrated a significant positive relationship between training effectiveness and employee job performance. Furthermore, the analysis revealed that the personality trait of conscientiousness significantly predicts performance outcomes, underscoring the importance of individual learner differences. By highlighting the significant roles of conscientiousness and training effectiveness, this study contributes to the literature on human capital development and offers a statistically grounded framework for understanding how individual differences and organizational context are associated with job performance.
