Summer STEM Scholars Workshops

I am happy to share the exciting news about Summer Scholars!   We are offering four-day workshops from June 20^th-June 23^rd in Physics and Sports and another workshop from June 27^th-June 30^th in Medical Technology. These workshops are designed for students grades 5th-12th. If you would like your student  to attend the cost is $200 per workshop. 

Please follow the link below to access the application and the payment fee. These documents can be emailed, faxed, mailed in or dropped off in the office. You can handle payment through the link below or mail in cash/check/money order with your application. Once you have applied, I will contact you directly to register your student for each workshop.  This is a first come, first served basis. Students will not be registered until application is completed and all fees are paid. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Physics Behind Sports Workshop

Have you ever wondered about the relationship between Physics and sports? Did you know that Physics and sports are interconnected? Sports professionals and their trainers use physics to give them the best opportunity to be successful in sports. Newton’s laws of motion will be examined in this workshop. Come find out the forces which work behind the scenes in sports and on athletes in a fun, engaging, and interactive lab-based model. 

Medical Technology Workshop

The body works in mysterious ways. Have you ever wondered how the body moves? In the medical technology workshop, you will learn about medical processes dealing with the body. Thinking about a future career in medicine, this is the workshop for you to start learning the skills necessary to go into the health field. You will participate in hands-on labs and simulations to prepare for skills needed in the healthcare profession.
