About this Event
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based, 8-hour training designed to increase mental health literacy and equip participants with the skills to support someone experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The course introduces common risk factors and warning signs, explores the impact of mental health conditions, and provides an action plan for offering initial help in a crisis. Participants also learn how to connect individuals with appropriate professional, peer, social, and self-help resources.
*** Participants must complete 2 hours of pre-work and attend the full 6 hours of the instructor-led training to earn their certificate.
