About this Event
410 Library Lane, Charlotte, NC 28223
Join the faculty Free Expression and Constructive Discourse task force for a campus panel and forum on Institutional Neutrality on April 21 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Halton Reading Room. The panel will explore the policy that university administrators at all levels do not speak for the university or their unit on controversial issues of the day. This allows individual faculty and students to feel free to express their views without fear of it conflicting with those above them.
If you cannot attend the panel discussion in person you can join us by Zoom.
Panelists:
Mark McNeilly, Professor of the Practice of Marketing at the Kenan-Flagler Business School UNC-CH, and an advisory committee member of the Program for Public Discourse
Steven McGuire, the Paul & Karen Levy Fellow in Campus Freedom at the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA)
Rosemarie Monge, James Madison Program Visiting Fellow
Jesh Humphrey, Vice Chancellor of Institutional Integrity and General Counsel for UNC Charlotte
Moderator:
Susan Harden, Assistant Professor of Education at UNC Charlotte
