You are invited to a screening of Sanctuary Rising, a new documentary on families staying together in the face of deportation and communities turning faith into action, hosted by the Migration Research Network and the Center for Professional & Applied Ethics with support from the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies, Cato College of Education, School of Social Work, and Department of Geography and Earth Sciences. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Theo Rigby (film director), Jeanette Vizguerra (founder of Sanctuary4All), Dr. John Doering-White (University of South Carolina College of Social Work), and Rev. LeDayne McLeese Polaski (Executive Director of the Mecklenburg Metropolitan Interfaith Network). Refreshments will be served.
